Idee Top – Praktische Umsetzung leider flop 2 vergebene Sterne für Idee three nichtvergebene Sterne für Umsetzung. Man darf meine Rezension nicht falsch verstehen, würde das Netbook funktionieren wie die Theorie verspricht, gebe es volle Sterne von mir. Leider tut es dies nicht. Leute die keine Lust auf Treiber updaten und am Systemrumdoktern haben, sollten auf den Nachfolger dieses Netbooks warten (der hoffentlich besser funktioniert). Wenn man google bemüht wird man sehr schnell viele viele User finden, welche Probleme mit der neuen ION-Technik haben. In der Theorie hat man 2 Grafikkarten. Eine Starke eine Schwache und es wird immer diejenige genutzt die gerade gebraucht wird. Das spart Strom und bringt nötige Leistung auch bei HD Videos. Dies funktioniert leider in der Praxis alles andere als problemlos, was vor allem wohl an fehlerhaften Treibern liegt. Wer das Notebook frisch auspackt, wird als erstes die Grafikkarten Treiber updaten müssen und einiges an Trial und Error hinnehmen müssen, da es zwar jede Menge beschriebene Issue im Web gibt, die Lösungsansätze aber derzeit mehr oder meist eher weniger funktionieren. Im Auslieferungszustand, funktioniert die Umschaltung zwischen beiden Grafikkarten (Optimus) bei fast keinem programm automatisch. Von Hand eingetragene programme für Optimus werden gekonnt von den Treibern ignoriert und so laufen Videofilme trotzdem mit der schwächeren Grafikkarte und ruckeln. Das Updaten der Grafikkartentreiber gestaltet sich leider nicht trivial, da von Asus selbst keine aktuellen Grafikkarten-Treiber angeboten werden, und man auf die orginal von Nvidia zurückgreifen muss. Welche aber erst sei kurzem (bei nur die Version 275.33) funktionieren. Einige Leute haben 6 Monate auf vernünftige Treiber warten müssen. Auch gab es lange Zeit Probleme mit dem Flashplayer, so dass Videos auf Youtube nur verpixelt und nicht als Vollbild angeschaut wurden. Dieses Issue wurde mittlerweile durch ein Flashplayer Update gelöst (welches aber Monate auf sich warten liess) 720p Videos laufen seit dem bei mir mit den Nvidia Treibern meistens gut, 1080p Videos ruckeln leider, obwohl sie eigentlich laufen sollten. Gerade um 1080p über HDMI auf einem externen Monitor anzuschauen, ist ja aber die ION-Technologie gemacht. 720p schafft man auch noch mit einer schwächeren Generation von Grafikkarten. Wer also keine Scheu vor Treiberrumdoktorn und Fehlersuche hat, sollte hier zugreifen! Wer kann wartet am Besten auf den Nachfolger. Dort sind dann hoffentlich alle Fehler ausgebügelt. Schade, dass Asus sich hier so einen Fehltritt leistet, denn die Idee mit den 2 Grafikkarten und HDMI am Netbook ist wirklich toll. Als alternative zu diesem hier bietet Asus noch ein Netbook auf AMD-basis mit HDMI. Vielleicht derzeit die bessere Wahl. P.S. Ich habe das 2GB Ram-Modell mit Win 7 HP, gekauft Anfang Juli 2011
